How readers are finding this blog.
I just read today's entry in the Genii
Weblog and decided to take a look
at the search terms view in my blog database. In looking at my Dom log
on a daily basis I know that many come to me directly having visited before,
while others find me through links on other web sites link Andrew
Pollack's. My impression of common
search terms is firefox and panther. Looking at the view and seeing the
search terms in a cumulative way validated that impression.
Firefox - I have a couple of
articles on this site that pertain to Firefox so this makes sense. Here
is what I see for search terms that include Firefox:
- merriam-webster toolbar firefox - oddly enough I saw yet another extension of this from a different IP address as well
- extension firefox yahoo toolbox
- firefox panther - used twice from the same IP address within a minute and a half
- notify schedule firefox - this is actually relevant as I have a posting that talks about this feature
Visitors coming here looking for Merriam-Webster and Yahoo toolbars for Firefox were no doubt disappointed.
Panther - panther is the name of the server hosting this blog. I've already mentioned one combo search that included panther, above. Here are some others:
- lotus notes panther problem - hmmm can't imagine what this relates to
- panther foot prints - totally irrelevant
- lotus notes panther
IBM/Lotus related - In addition to those I've already mentioned - these are pretty much relevant as they are found in blog postings on this site:
- "the view on" Domino - funny this didn't show this blog when I tested it
- undocumented thinkpad keyboard light - somebody must have remembered reading this here and went searching for it again.
- wsad egl - someone dug down deep to find this one, it was well past the 3rd page in my test today
- notes runonserver
- call agent with java lotus
- quickplace place name
- qptool parameters
- starttimezone
